 The new line of Southco CM mini cam locks offers key locking security in a compact package, suitable for small enclosure doors and limited-space applications. Multiple cam styles, installation orientations, and aesthetic finishes provide attractive, versatile options to satisfy a range of door and grip configurations in applications ranging from electronic and industrial enclosures, to furniture and medical equipment cabinets, to RV and transportation vehicles.
The new line includes a wing style for convenient hand-actuated operation, as well as a keylocking style for more secure access control. These cam locks are available in sizes as small as 21.5 mm (0.85 inches) long and 16.4 mm (0.65 inches) from centreline to end of cam, with a 14.9 mm (0.59 inches) diameter flange on the front of the door panel.
They are compatible with door panels up to 7.5 mm (0.30 inches) thick.
All models feature the durability of die-cast zinc housings, lock-plugs and driver bodies. The non-shuttered keylock-style locks feature brass wafers and nickel-plated brass keys with multiple keycode options that allow for assigned access control within an installation.
Matching cams (can be ordered separately) are available in straight and reversible offset styles to accommodate varying dimensions between the face of the door and the point of engagement with the door frame – ranging from 9.7 mm (0.38 inches) up to 21.5 mm (0.84 inches). Installation is quick and easy, with single-hole mounting preparation and a rear-mounted retaining nut.
Attractive standard chrome and black powder-coated finishes – plus optional custom-colour powder-coated finishes – satisfy a wide range of enclosure designs. The lock can be configured for clockwise or counter-clockwise operation to satisfy right-hand or left-hand opening doors.
