New Option For New Generation Photo Booth
sample_photoidNew to Digital Centre’s “New Generation Photo ID Booth” is a proprietary software update that is coupled with a USB thumbstick storage device allowing all photographs taken at an event to be captured and stored and then later downloaded to a CD that in turn can be marketed to the person who organized the event.

“The photographs can then be used for scrap booking or can even be downloaded onto websites for additional photo orders,” explains sales director Mel LaForce. “And nearly all the people in the rental industry who buy our photo booth purchase this option because reselling the CD from an event is such a lucrative revenue stream.”

LaForce envisions this option transitioning to the coin-op industry. He says one promotional idea is that locations display on a wall all the photographs taken during a given week, number each photograph, and then have patrons of their location vote by number for the person with nicest hair, nicest smile, greatest expression, etc.

“If operators and locations want to substantially increase their photo booth sales, promotional tie-ins really work,” said Allen Weisberg, Apples Industries’ president, the company that manages Digital Centre’s coin-op business in North America. “It’s just another twist to making photo booths so appealing to customers of nightclubs, bowling centers, malls, movie theatres and other highly trafficked areas.”
