Is the "experience" over?
Written by Cam Wood
Since the last print version of Canadian Vending magazine hit the streets, there's been some discussion surrounding my take on Starbucks, their place in our coffee culture, and the value of what the company has brought to the overall consumer market.

While the company moves ahead to close 600 under-performing locations, there is still the debate of – beyond the hippy idealism that strengthened their place in capitalist circles – will consumers continue to fork out premium prices for a cup of coffee? Or, given Canadian's love affair with a different kind of coffee culture – where price increases are marketed as an almost "last resort" – prove that the bubble has burst for "experience" over "convenience?"

What say you?
