Several non-dairy coffee products recalled
Written by The Toronto Star

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers with dairy allergies not to drink some Maxim, Maxwell House and Taster's Choice non-dairy coffee products after tests revealed they contained traces of dairy not declared on the label.

The CFIA says the affected products only include those that were imported from Korea and were distributed in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products, however, the CFIA warns that if those with allergies drink the coffee, it may lead to serious or life-threatening reactions to the milk protein.

The importer is voluntarily recalling the affected products under the supervision of the CFIA.

For more information, consumers can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Mondays to Fridays.
