June 10, 2009 – Stern Pinball, Inc. is featured in an article on Forbes.com called “Made in America.” There is an interview in the “American Makers” section of the article with Stern factory pinball inspector, Bharti Patel. In an interview Bharti tells Forbes.com about her 22 years at Stern and the high quality of the product she inspects. She says, “My job is to make sure our pinball machines are top quality.
If the quality is there, then there's nothing left to improve.” Bharti is also pictured with Stern’s newest pinball machine, NBA.
“MADE IN AMERICA meant something very different 30 years ago. It will mean something very different 30 years from now. All we can do is make good guesses.
The facts are that 12 million adults make something for a living in the U.S., and their output accounts for $1.6 trillion, one-fifth of world manufacturing, more than that of any other nation,” states Steve Kichen, editor of the article.
