Coffee Customs
Written by Robin Abrahams

Oct. 6, 2009 – I thought I'd change it up for you a bit with more of a survey than an actual plea for advice. A friend of mine posted on Facebook last week that controversy was, ahem, brewing in her office over the question of coffee. The question arose because her office was recently moved from a bustling center of urbanity to an outpost where "the nearest place to get coffee is a Dunkin' Donuts about one mile away." What she wants to know is:

Does your office provide coffee at no cost to the employees? What form does your office coffee maker take (e.g. a pod machine, a vending machine, a pot that someone is responsible for making)? How important do you consider the availability of coffee to be in your workplace?
