Water works don't work

March 11, 2010 – What started out as a creative plan to encourage students to switch from plastic water bottles to reusable ones has morphed into a bizarre scheme to sell tap water for 50 cents a shot.

A student-led campaign, at Toronto's Fern Avenue school, to reduce the use of plastic water bottles sought an easier way to fill reusable bottles, beyond regular school taps and fountains.
