March 30, 2010 – Jofemar has
developed the world's first hydrogen-powered vending machine.
Jofemar uses the novel automatic
merchandise Vision Multiseller design
to bring non-traditional vending
products into the
vending channel. It is able to do this
thanks to two principal assemblies. The
extraordinary flexibility of Jofemar’s
Smart Vend elevator delivery system
travels vertically to receive the chosen
product and transport it to a waist level
delivery bin. Jofemar’s EasyFlex
conveyor delivery system replaces the traditional spirals allowing fast and
flexible reconfiguration to handle a very diverse range of products.
Jofemar has announced the launch of the Vision Multiseller H2. Instead of
using electricity the H2 uses hydrogen to power the Vision.
“The system created
by our engineers allows the “Vision H2” to be able to work with absolute
autonomy and without connection to the electric source” explains Felix
Guindulain Busto, Jofemar’s General Manager.
This is the culmination of two years of dedicated research by Jofemar’s R&D
department.
Jofemar’s Vision H2 autonomous power is provided by a hydrogen fuel cell that
is fed with hydrogen from the portable storage canister Ovonic’s 85G250 model
from Rochester Hills Michigan. The fuel cell has a back-up battery for when the
portable hydrogen canister needs to be recharge. These machines can be located anywhere.
Jofemar takes the security aspects of hydrogen very seriously indeed. The
amounts of hydrogen used in the chemical process are minute. Therefore there
is never any safety issue with the Vision H2.
Jofemar believes that
hydrogen is one of the renewable clean energies of the near future.
Jofemar is prepared to work with cities, governments and vending companies,
to provide a hydrogen storage portable canister recharge
program.
