Preventing vandalism
May 20, 2010 – Vandalism to your machines is something every operator has to deal with.  Unfortunately no one can control actions of another, however there are ways vandalism can be avoided.

Location:
Location is key when displaying vending machines. Not only for profitable reasons but also for vandalism.
Having vending machines in high traffic, bright areas will hopefully keep vandals away. Although this isn't a perfect solution, it's suggested people are less likely to commit crime with large crowds and potential witnesses around.

Also try moving machines around in locations, if one spot is causing so many problems, it may be the only option.

Finding a great location isn't always easy.

Appearance:
Sometimes, placing large heavy locks on vending machines can deter vandals, as it would be too much work breaking into.

These are only common and mostly known ways to avoid vanalism.

Have any other suggestions to share with operators? Let us know!
