It is easy to say that office coffee has changed. We are now inundated with single cup coffee brewers from almost every manufacturer and every roaster! Keeping up with these changes is a challenge.
And of course, who has the time to do it amongst the daily grind of running your business. But as much as “office coffee” has changed, coffee has not. It is still a fruit, from a plant that goes through a multitude of unique and dynamic steps before it ends up in your morning cup.
As a professional Office Coffee operator, can you have an honest conversation with your customers about coffee? Can you tell them why they should drink one blend over another? Can you explain Fair Trade, Sustainable and Organic and actually know what you are talking about? Can you be the professional that you claim to be?
NAMA’s highly regarded Quality Coffee Certification Program will be offered on September 25 at the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Big Hall Four B where CAMA Expo 2010 will be held. The session runs from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. It will be led by Mike Tompkins, a 17-year veteran of the coffee industry. Mike was instrumental in the development of the Café 98 thermal brewing equipment. He has led the QCCP sessions since 2000 and plays a key role in the design of the course material.
You will taste the different blends and single origin coffees from growing regions around the world and attempt to detect the often subtle nuances each one has. You will also taste first-hand the effect water has on coffee’s overall taste and body. The knowledge gained in this session will help you become a coffee expert to your customer and differentiate you from your competitors. As you know, many coffee savvy consumers are looking and asking for better coffee in today’s work environment.
The coffee knowledge you learn at the session will help you and your sales staff close sales and take your coffee service operation to the next level. The cost of registration includes a continental breakfast, lunch and a binder packed with information presented during the session. Space is limited so register early.
