Oct. 22, 2013, Toronto – Canadian beverage producer Blu-Dot Beverage has won the award for Top Ten Most Innovative Products at the Grocery Innovations Canada (GIC) Conference & Trade Show.
GIC is an annual grocery trade show that took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, highlighting new products and industry trends for 2014.
Blu-Dot is a new entrant on the beverage scene and has created a stir with its protein tea, made from organic green or white tea. Each 473 ml glass bottle contains 12 grams of protein and six grams of fibre.
The protein is sourced from New Zealand whey protein and the prebiotic dietary fibre is sourced from natural chicory root.
Rich in anti-oxidants, the tea is flavoured and lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar. It is also available in a calorie-reduced option that is sweetened with stevia extract.
Blu-Dot Protein Tea is available across Canada at Whole Foods, Bulk Barn and Longo's among others.
