Aug. 17, 2010 – The Canadian Association of Automatic Merchandisers (CAMA) looks forward to its annual vending and office coffee expo which will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Sept. 24 and 25, 2010.

Exhibitors are from all sectors of the industry including single-cup coffee systems, cashless vending solutions, equipment, snack and beverages, and coin mechanisms. “No doubt the CAMA show will be a great business-building opportunity, and it will also profile what’s new in our industry,” said Kim Lockie, President of CAMA. “The expo’s emphasis is on providing continuing education and future opportunities in automated vending and office coffee services.”

The stellar two-day show is made even more interesting by numerous educational sessions which include:

  • Royal Canadian Mint Update: Changes to the composition of one-dollar and two-dollar coins, presented by Paul Lefebvre (Executive Director, Canadian Circulation) and Lenard Cheung (Director, Canadian Circulation).
  • Healthy Vending: from Concept to Reality featuring the development of Alberta’s healthy vending criteria, presented by Susan Buhler PhD(c), RD.
  • The Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth, presented by Pat Martz, RD: Project Manager, Alberta Health and Wellness.
  • Exploring non-traditional vending such as how vending machines can be used as a “tool crib” or to distribute safety supplies, equipment and accessories, presented by Greg Mason, Automated Inventory Solutions.

In addition, industry expert, Mike Tompkins will offer the Quality Coffee Certification Program. During this intensive eight-hour workshop, delegates will learn how to close additional sales and take office coffee service operations to the next level.

“This is the only show in Canada combining vending and office coffee services,” added Lockie. “Show attendees will see and sample products demonstrated by industry leaders. This is a great venue to get informed on the latest trends and developments in the industry from both returning and new exhibitors.”
