CAMA announces 2016 award winners

Canada – The Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association (CAMA) has unveiled the 2016 recipients of the vending and office coffee industry’s highest awards, the CAMA awards.
The Don Storey Memorial Award will be presented to Lorna Kane of Kane’s Distributing Ltd. Based in St. Catharines, Ont., and Distribution QM based in Montreal. Kane was chosen for her passion and commitment as an industry professional. She is a long-time member of the association, has volunteered on several tradeshow committees and is currently a sitting member on the CAMA Board of Directors.
The Stuart Daw Gold Service Award is being awarded to Jim Jackson of Quality Vending & Coffee Services based in Winnipeg. Jackson was selected for his ethics and high standard of business practices. He is a long-time member of the association and has shared his experience in micro markets by conducting educational seminars at past annual tradeshows, which he regularly attends. Jackson gave tips about becoming an early adopter of micro markets in Canadian Vending’s spring 2016 supplement on micro markets.
The CAMA Customer Service Award is being presented to Jacques Dube of McMurray Coin Machines based in Fort McMurray, Alta. His company’s response to provide essential services after the recent disaster in Fort McMurray is one of the reasons he is being recognized for his dedication to customer service. Jacques is a strong supporter of CAMA and is currently a sitting member on the Board of Directors.
The annual awards’ presentations will be held in conjunction with CAMA Expo 2016 at the Victoria Conference Centre on Friday, Sept. 16.
