a great time of year and a wonderful place to have our industry gather
to exchange ideas, get reacquainted and be introduced to new
advancements and ideas that are taking place in our working
environments. An exciting time, that’s for sure.

The expo also provides all of us with an opportunity to witness first
hand the breadth and depth of our membership. Involve yourself in any
conversation and you’ll learn that you’re not alone, that other members
from regions of the country far from your own, experience the same
issues, problems and successes that you are experiencing.

Indeed, it is the sharing of experiences – both good and not so good –
that makes an industry stronger. When discussing and sharing, remember,
giving is always better than receiving.

Expo 2007 will provide all members with a chance to rally together
around a common issue. It is within our collective strength that we can
achieve what we thought a couple of years ago would be impossible. We
need to band together and present a professional face advocating what
we do in our daily lives and its importance to our communities. Last
year CAMA launched its Vending Certificate Program. This year will be
the year of “Advocacy.”

I, for one, am looking forward to this experience and I hope to see you
in Vancouver to share stories and ideas making us all wiser and better
industry representatives.
