Ottawa – The Bank of Canada on Sept. 9 will present and begin circulating a $20 note commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The note is being introduced during a ceremony hosted by the Governor General of Canada at Rideau Hall in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II becoming the longest-reigning sovereign in Canada’s modern era. The Bank of Canada, Canada Post and the Royal Canadian Mint will respectively introduce a commemorative bank note, stamp and coin, highlighting the milestone.

“September 9 will be a perfect opportunity for us to celebrate Her Majesty’s remarkable work and outstanding dedication, as well as the heartfelt connection she has had to Canada throughout her incredible reign,” said the Governor General.
