Archetype Ltd. of New Jersey has launched Flood Buzz and Flood Buzz Pro, two water leak alarms it says are loud, effective, easy to use and inexpensive.

With the launch of the patent-pending Flood Buzz Pro, liquid vending machine operators now have available to them a tool to help protect properties from mould that results from water leaks, the company says on its website.

“The smaller product is only 1.5 inches tall and easily fits under an appliance kickstand. It sounds a 90-95 decibel alert when it comes in contact with liquid. The larger product – the Flood Buzz Pro – is a bit taller and sounds a 110 dB alert when it comes in contact with liquid,” said Archetype president Josh Scharf in an email to Canadian Vending.

“Both units have internal batteries that are not serviceable. The whole unit is replaced every three years at low cost.”

The products are distributed in Eastern Canada by Oakville Stamping & Bending Ltd. in Oakville, Ont., and in Western Canada by Stringer Sales in Calgary, Alta.
