NAMA names industry award winners

Chicago – The National Automatic Merchandising Association has announced the winners of its 2018 industry awards.

The awards, to be presented live at the NAMA Show in Las Vegas on Wednesday, March 21, will recognize the most widely respected leaders in the industry, as nominated by their peers.

Joe Hessling, founder and chief executive officer of 365 Markets, has been named Industry Person of the Year. Jeff Smith, chairman and chief executive officer of All Star Vending, is Operator of the Year. Allied Member of the Year is Mike Lawlor, chief services officer of USA Technologies Systems.

“The Industry Awards are a treasured NAMA tradition, recognizing individuals who have served the industry and NAMA as leaders, innovators and advocates,” said Carla Balakgie, NAMA’s chief executive officer. “Joe, Jeff and Mike have helped their companies achieve success while devoting their time and talent to advancing the industry as a whole, supporting their colleagues and communities. They are an inspiration and I congratulate them each on this well-deserved honour.”
