The highly successful Supervisor Training and Development Program, created by the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) for newly appointed and experienced supervisors and managers, will be offered at NAMA’s 2009 Spring Expo in Las Vegas, NAMA Senior Director of Education and Trade Shows LyNae Schleyer, NCE, CMP announced today.
“This intensive, interactive program incorporates real-world problems and mini cases into class discussion,” said Schleyer, “With today’s economy in particular, supervisors and managers need extraordinary skills to help them lead their firms into new levels of growth and prosperity and this program helps them develop those skills.”
The Supervisor Development Program was officially unveiled at the 2006 Spring Expo in Las Vegas, and past participants have consistently given it glowing reviews for their great learning experiences and networking opportunities. “They enthusiastically endorse this program for managers who want to succeed the vending business,” said Schleyer.
Topics discussed during the three days include Decision Making, Time Management, Communication, Personal Selling Skills, Leadership, and Working with Customers. It is similar to the highly successful Executive Development Program currently offered at Michigan State University, and is taught by outside professors and internal industry experts.
This Supervisor Development Program will be offered at the Mandalay Bay Resort, Wednesday through Friday, April 15 through Friday, April 17, allowing time for the attendees to visit the trade show floor Friday afternoon.
NAMA realizes these times are difficult for members so we have maintained our 2007 seminar pricing—$1,250 per person which includes workbook and Personal Action Plan, most meals and a complimentary entrance to the NAMA Spring Expo. Hotel rooms are available for as low as $149 per night. Contact the NAMA Education Department at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 312-346-0370 for more information.
“This vital program is essential for anyone in a supervisory position who expects to advance professionally, and professional development doesn’t cost—it pays,” concluded Schleyer.
NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization’s founding.
