Mountain View, CA – Google is combining its payment platforms, including Android Pay and Google Wallet, together under the single brand Google Pay.

Pali Bhat, Google's vice-president of product management, payments, announced the move in a blog

Google Pay is aimed at making it easier for customers to use the payment information saved to their Google accounts and to move quickly through checkout, Bhat said.

The new combined platform is available on Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, Instacart, and other apps and websites.

It will be rolled out over the coming weeks at checkout in Google apps, online and in stores.
