Calgary – Vending operators will be able access PayLab Networks’ DexLink web based vending management software free of charge. DexLink leverages web-based software tools to create a user friendly, interface that turns data into actionable intelligence.

PayLab Networks manufacturers point-of-sale and telemetry hardware, along with accompanying mobile applications and cloud-based management software for vending machine operators and other unattended retailers.

DexLink supports VDI standards and DEX protocols, giving operators access to inventory data, sales, alerts, scheduling, service history, cash accountability and more. DexLink is cloud-based, which means data can be accessed from virtually anywhere. PayLab maintains and backs up the data.

PayLab outlined its rationale behind giving away free software in a news release: “Based on a decade’s worth of operator data, we know that implementing a comprehensive VMS package can result in a one to three per cent reduction in shrinkage, a 25 per cent reduction in route operating costs and a 15 per cent increase in same machine sales. But despite these numbers barely half of operators are currently using a dedicated VMS package and less than six per cent of North American machines are reporting DEX data remotely via a connected telemetry device….PayLab remains focused on their hardware and payment offerings, but in the short term, offering a responsive VMS package free of charge gives us an opportunity to begin building a relationship with operators that will ultimately lead to accelerated revenue growth over the long term.”
