People on the move at Coinco
April 29, 2011, St. Louis – This week, Coin Acceptors Inc. (Coinco) announced a promotion and a new hire.
Ron Hoorman has been appointed senior vice-president of engineering, effective immediately. Hoorman has been with Coinco for over 30 years. He holds a BSEE degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla and an MBA from Lindenwood University. He has worked in several key engineering and engineering management positions within the company. The promotion recognizes his critical efforts in developing new products and providing engineering support in his previous role as chief technical officer.
Most recently, Hoorman spearheaded the development of the new Guardian XL changer and Arrow cashless and telemetry products. He was instrumental in the development of MDB specifications for the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA), and continues to represent the best of the industry through his work with association on the Vending Data Interchange Committee, helping to develop and implement new standards for online systems.
Coinco also announced that Mark Giroux has joined the company as national sales director for both Coinco and Royal Vendors. Giroux holds a BA from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a Masters degree in political science from Wayne State University. He brings a wealth of sales and management experience in the beverage industry, having handled major accounts such as Coca-Cola, 7-Up, Pepsi-Cola and Anheuser Busch.
Prior to joining Coinco, Giroux held the regional sales manager position for NuCO2, a leader in the sale of CO2 gas to the foodservice industry.
