PepsiCo, Inc. expands the SodaStream brand into away-from-home channels with the introduction of SodaStream Professional, an eco-friendly hydration platform.
Following a successful pilot test with key customers, the mobile-enabled platform will allow people to personalize and digitally track their water-forward beverage intake while cutting back on plastic bottles. Rolling out commercially this fall, SodaStream Professional will support the health of both consumers and the planet as businesses reimagine the future of beverage experiences.
SodaStream Professional builds on the popularity of the at-home sparkling water maker acquired by PepsiCo in 2018. It offers customizable beverages to workplaces, college campuses and airports. With the new platform ecosystem, users can choose from various unsweetened flavours, carbonation levels and temperatures to create the perfect drink. The personalization options don’t end there: Consumers also can record their favourite drink combinations, set hydration goals and track how many plastic bottles they’ve saved to date, all through the accompanying SodaStream Connect mobile app. By delivering on these key trends, PepsiCo is ensuring beverage experiences evolve to meet changing consumer preferences.

SodaStream Professional was developed with the full capabilities of PepsiCo, including design, insights, and research and development. The intuitive user experience and physical look and feel integrates into users’ daily routine. With a design inspired by contemporary furniture, the platform re-imagines hydration equipment to blend into and enhance the physical environment around it.
SodaStream Professional expands on the beloved global brand further in the U.S. market, and is the latest innovation in PepsiCo’s “Beyond the Bottle” portfolio, which plays a critical role in helping PepsiCo make progress towards its vision of a world where plastics need never become waste.
Through growth of PepsiCo’s SodaStream business, an estimated 67 billion single-use plastic bottles will be avoided through 2025. The rollout of SodaStream Professional builds on this commitment, which includes reducing virgin plastic use across its beverage portfolio by 35 per cent by 2025.
