photoboothApple Industries, of New York, recently announced that its popular photo booth from Digital Centres, known in the industry as the New Generation Photo ID machine, has been making steady inroads into the Canadian market, and as a result of this, now offers an electronic coin acceptor to accommodate the Canadian loonie and toonie.

According to sales director Mel LaForce, units being shipped to Canada can be easily fitted with an electronic pulse-reading coin acceptor that will take any combination of loonies and toonies.

“Up to this point, most of the sales have been in the U.S., and we’ve been letting our Canadian neighbours adapt our photo booth on their own, but with the sales increasing nicely now, we can do all this retrofit work for them without any additional charge,” he said.

The Canadian units are identical to all the units shipped in the United States, offering double sets of prints; both the black and white colour printing option; the superior di-sublimation printing system; three program choices including standard strip photos, colour borders and faces on hair styles; cabinet colour choices of blue, brown and pink; and the small footprint that allows the machine to go into many size-restricted locations.
