PizzaForno celebrates expansion with dessert pizza

PizzaForno™, the Canadian foodservice company that offer made-fresh, artisan pizza, served from a fully automated patented vending machine, announces new locations across the GTA, and a limited edition “dessert pizza.”

PizzaForno’s rapid expansion follows its recent flagship opening in Toronto in Dec. 2018. To celebrate, and in time for Valentine’s Day, PizzaForno will launch its exclusive, limited edition romantically delicious ‘Lovers’ Dessert Pizza’ Tuesday, Feb. 12 through to Feb 14.

Delicious hot or cold, PizzaForno’s ‘Lovers’ Dessert Pizza’ is a mouthwatering gourmet treat, with a dreamy cream cheese frosting base, topped with heart-shaped strawberries, drizzled with a berry coulis, and finished with a kiss of Nutella. It will be available for $9. However, when purchased with any other 12-inch pizza, customers will receive both pizzas half-price, while supplies last.

“With everyone’s hectic schedules, and our new locations open across the GTA, PizzaForno will surely be coming to the rescue of many date nights this Valentine’s Day!,” said Les Tomlin, co-founder and President of PizzaForno, in a press release. “We’re excited to offer the only handmade, gourmet dessert pizza, available 24 hours a day, ready in three minutes or less.”

PizzaForno’s ‘Lovers’ Dessert Pizza’ will be available Feb. 12 to Feb 14 at all 5 PizzaForno GTA Locations:

New PenguinPickUp locations:

  •  Leslieville, 629 Eastern Ave. in Toronto
  • Vaughan Metro Centre, 3150 Highway #7 in Vaughan.

Existing locations:

  • PizzaForno flagship,1235 Bay St. (at Cumberland St.)
  • Corktown, 535 Adelaide St E.
  • Dixie Outlet Mall in the Food Court

The company’s new retail locations are part of a partnership with leading developer, PenguinPickUp. The agreement will see 10 new PizzaForno locations open this spring across the Greater Toronto Area. Their PenguinPickUp locations are cleverly custom-designed in shipping containers so they can be seamlessly dropped into an 8 x 10 ft. retail space.

Customers can choose from four different tasty selections on an interactive screen: Chèvre-miel, BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, and Four Cheese, with additional options rolling out in 2019. Each 12-inch pizza is never frozen, and made fresh by hand, with an authentic Italian approach that includes Romana crust, fresh, all natural, locally sourced ingredients and delicious, quality cream and tomato sauces. Prices range from $11 to $14 each and include HST.

PizzaForno holds 70 12-inch pizzas with hand-stretched crusts made with 100 per cent Italian Caputo flour. Pizzas are freshly topped and stored in the refrigerated section of the PizzaForno™. Once customers order from the 32-inch interactive screen, a robotic arm takes their selection from the refrigerated section, conveys it to a patented oven where it is baked, placed in a box and delivered to the consumer.
