LonoLife has a line of single-serve K-Cup broths designed to appeal to health-conscious customers who want a healthy savoury meal option when they are on the go.

Each pod contains at least eight grams of protein and less than 55 calories, the LonoLife website says. The pods are 100 per cent recyclable.

The broths, which are available in Hearty Beef, Chicken Sage and Thai Curry Beef, are 100 per cent grass-fed and thus suitable for customers following a paleo diet.

Hearty Beef is made from roasted beef bones, fresh vegetables, and fine herbs. Chicken Sage is made from all-natural chicken broth. Thai Curry Beef is described as a fusion of coconut, ginger, peppers and lemongrass.

The pods are available in boxes of 10 and 24 and will be available this month on Amazon Canada and soon after through retail and foodservice distributors.
