Specialty grade coffee filters new to the Canadian marketplace
Boyd Converting Company and Les Agences TLS Inc. announced a new supply agreement which will provide specialty grade coffee filters to the Canadian marketplace.

Boyd Converting Company and Les Agences TLS Inc. announced a new supply agreement today which will provide specialty grade coffee filters to the Canadian marketplace.  The filters are used for commercial scale coffee machines and marketed throughout the United States and Canada.  The Boyd TLS partnership involves high volume processing, warehousing, and distributing of the coffee filters.  Boyd Converting will converter and distribute its specialty coffee filters to TLS, which in turn will service the Canadian marketplace.

Boyd Converting, a converter and master distributor of specialty materials, has supplied Boyd Original Coffee Filters to the coffee vending industry for over 20 years.  “Our success is due to the value we place on partnership at Boyd, our staff has over 30 years of experience with integrated supply agreements that result in the best solution for the marketplace,” said Bronly Boyd, Chairman and CEO of Boyd Technologies (www.boydtech.com), Boyd Converting’s parent company.  “Boyd Converting is thrilled to be in partnership with TLS, they have 15 years of experience in this market and a well known reputation for high quality products and excellent service,” he added.

The supply agreement between Boyd and TLS began in early November and will be fully transitioned by the end of the year.  “With Boyd, TLS will continue to provide the highest quality products with short lead times, while remaining competitive with our pricing,” said Claude Faucher, President of TLS.  “Boyd and TLS are both family run businesses that understand their responsibility to provide high quality products and recognize the need to be flexible and fast to market,” said Faucher.  “Together our businesses have over 30 years of experience in this market which results in the best solution for our customers,” he concluded.

According to many in the health industry filtering coffee reduces the level of diterpenes found in coffee beans which have been linked to increased risk of hearth attack and stroke.  “Boyd Original Coffee Filters are part our commitment at Boyd Technologies to safe, clean, and healthy products and processes,” said Bronly Boyd.  “In addition, these filters are made from wood and vegetable fibers of natural origin, which makes the coffee filter paper not only highly functional but as biodegradable as a tree or a leaf,” he added.
