Crane Streamware, has added another “try before you buy” option to its Test Drive program. The new DEX Cash Audit test tracks a vending operation’s cash accountability on one route for six weeks, using VendMAX software and the Streamware handheld.

Streamware introduced Test Drive in April 2007 to demonstrate how Streamware drives operators’ profitability through improved processes. The program launched with a single option – testing route efficiencies using all the tools VendMAX offers, from item-level tracking and optimizing service schedules to pre-kitting.

An unexpected benefit to that test, however, was the DEX Cash Audit.  Observed Test Drive participant Paul Tims of Imperial Vending, “We were tracking route efficiency, but I started to notice a huge improvement in cash accountability. Before, we were using meter to money for route auditing purposes,” said Tims.  “We now get exactly how much in dollars and how much in change should be with each serve.  It takes the changer flux out of the equation which translates into tighter cash accountability.”

With those results, the DEX Cash Audit Test Drive was born. For a fee to cover expenses only, an operator has VendMAX installed for six weeks on a single DEXable route. There is no obligation to purchase the product at the end of the trial, even if Streamware meets all of the agreed-upon results.
