Study explores packaged sandwiches’ carbon footprint

The study concludes that the carbon footprint of the snacks could be reduced by half through changes to recipes, packaging and waste disposal, and by extension of sell-by and use-by dates.

Manchester, U.K. – Researchers at the University of Manchester have carried out the first study looking at the carbon footprint of home-made and pre-packaged sandwiches.
