Tea and ready-to-drink tea market strong: report

Rockville, MD – The U.S. tea market continues to enjoy mass appeal, in part because of new products that emphasize tea’s functionality, says a report from research firm Packaged Facts.

The category’s performance in the last couple of years, particularly in ready-to-drink segments, has shown the strong durability of the market.

Tea is experiencing growth, impacted by such factors as an interest in tea culture at food service; new products that emphasize tea’s functionality; trends towards premium and specialized products in bagged, loose and ready-to-drink tea; and Starbucks’ push into ready-to-drink tea through its partnership with Anheuser-Busch, the company said in a news release.

The sixth edition of Packaged Facts’ report “Tea and Ready-to-Drink Tea: U.S. Retail Market” focuses on the dynamic market for packaged tea, particularly with respect to the impact of product, marketing, and consumer trends.
