TouchTunes partners on air guitar championships

interactive out-of-home entertainment network, has partnered with US
Air Guitar for the second consecutive year as the official jukebox
sponsor of the 2008 US Air Guitar Championship.
June 6, 2008, New York – TouchTunes Corporation, the largest interactive out-of-home entertainment network, has partnered with US Air Guitar for the second consecutive year as the official jukebox sponsor of the 2008 US Air Guitar Championship. TouchTunes will promote the USAG regional competitions on its digital jukeboxes in each of the cities where the competitions are being held and will feature a special US Air Guitar playlist. TouchTunes will also be showcasing its interactive digital jukeboxes and promoting and signing up members to mytouchtunes.com at the regional competitions and at the finals. myTouchTunes is the first social network that enables music fans to create and share playlists online and play them on any myTouchTunes-enabled jukebox.
Each regional winner, along with defending champion William Ocean, will compete in the US Air Guitar Finals for the title of US Air Guitar Champion in San Francisco on August 8, and that winner will represent the USA in the World Championships in Oulu, Finland. Air guitarists from around the world including the US, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and the United Arab Emirates will compete in the World Championships.
As part of its myTouchTunes promotion, TouchTunes is holding a sweepstakes to win a pair of tickets for the National US Air Guitar Finals and a free trip for two to San Francisco. The winner will be randomly chosen in mid-July from new and current myTouchTunes.com members. Fans can learn more and register at www.mytouchtunes.com or they can stop by the TouchTunes station at any regional Air Guitar competition. TouchTunes is running a sweepstakes for its operator partners as well, giving them a chance to win an identical prize package to the national finals.
