Oct. 29, 2012 – The Training Renewal Foundation is currently looking to prepare people for new careers in the vending and office coffee service industries.
The Training Renewal Foundation and the Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association (CAMA) have been in partnership since 2000 to provide training programs for coffee and vending service technicians, route drivers and warehouse staff. These programs have been offered in Ontario in partnership with the regions of Peel, York, Waterloo and the City of Toronto. They include 10 weeks of theoretical and hands-on training hosted by a CAMA member, followed by four weeks of placement with an industry employer to gain on-the-job experience.
The latest program, sponsored by the City of Toronto, is being hosted by Mister Coffee. Training began on Sept. 10 and will finish at Mister Coffee on Nov. 23. A period of on-the-job placement will be held from Nov. 26 to Dec. 21. Trainees are covered for WSIB and liability insurance during placements.
