Your convenience operation and COVID-19
By CANADIAN VENDING
If you are operating a vending operation or an office coffee service, you’re aware how the coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected those in the service industry.
Restaurants Canada (RC) has responded to concerns regarding the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, by teaming up with Diversey and Health Canada to provide resources for those in the convenience industry.
Diversey has provided free, downloaded COVID-19 factsheets and videos to inform micromarkets and operators about the disease, and how best to prevent it from spreading. The company offers a webinar about the respiratory disease’s spread, and a fact sheet that aims to prevent the spread of misinformation or panic.
The RC blog states that “Foodservice operators can ensure their staff stay informed and aware of expectations related to COVID-19 by having a dedicated physical and/or digital space for communicating regular updates.”
For those who are interested in learning more about keeping public spaces safe, the Federal Government has issued warnings about proper hand washing techniques and wiping down used surfaces such as touchpads, interfaces, and vending machine keypads with disinfectant wipes.
